Tobias Abel, Drawings, Ausstellungsraum Ursula Werz, Brandenburg 2015

In a presentation format especially developed for the exhibition space, Tobias Abel shows eight editions in which the line as a graphical means and fundamental trace of movement asserts its intrinsic value as an autonomous drawing. In the drawings in oil crayon on differently-colored vellum papers, he was particularly interested in the sequence as a spatial extension and chronological succession, as well as the repetition as the principle of hatching, which is based on many parallel lines.
